AP&G® uses renewable energy certificates, ( RECs ), to track renewable energy in our power grid
When a wind, solar, hydro, or geothermal power plant produces 1 MWh of electricity, exactly 1 REC is created
Anyone who uses 1 MWh of electricity can retire that REC. When that happens, they’ve officially used that energy.
AP&G® verify, purchase, and retire RECs for the energy you use at home or your office. So you know you are helping the environment.
We work with your utility. We
don't replace them. But that’s ok. Electric utilities focus on installing and maintaining the wires that transmit your electricity and pipes that gives you gas. Their job is to also make sure your electricity is always on and you have gas whenever you need. We don't replace the utility, we integrate with your existing utility we make sure your electricity comes from one of our wind or solar farms at competitive prices. This way everyone does their best.
